My Favorite Things About Punta Mita by our CEO Angel Sarmiento
Punta Mita, with its sun-kissed shores and vibrant culture, is a slice of heaven on Earth. As the co-CEO of Mita Residential, alongside my partner Felipe Kuhlmann, I´ve had the incredible privilege of experiencing the magic of Punta Mita up close. Today, I want to share some of my favorite things about this extraordinary destination and the moments that make it truly special.

Morning bliss in the pool
The best days in Punta Mita start with a refreshing dip in the pool. It´s my secret recipe for combining a workout with a vacation vibe. There´s something liberating about starting the day with a few laps in the crystal-clear waters, surrounded by the beauty of Punta Mita.

Breakfast delights with chef Diana
When it comes to breakfast, my heart belongs to Diana, the private chef at Marietas (201B). She puts together the best fruit spread every morning and serves up mouthwatering dishes. Diana takes pride in crafting everything from scratch, including salsas, sopes, and pancakes. Oh, and here´s her golden rule: chilaquiles always come with a side of French toast! It´s the kind of breakfast that sets the tone for a perfect day.

Sunsets at the Surf Club
As the sun begins its descent, I hop back on the golf cart and make my way to the Surf Club. Trust me, the sunsets here are unforgettable, painting the sky with hues you won´t find anywhere else. And if I´m not too full from lunch, I often stick around for dinner. The Surf Club frequently partners with top restaurants from across Mexico, like the remarkable La Docena collaboration we recently enjoyed.

Exploring with or without golfing
Golf might not be my forte, but exploring is! I love taking a golf cart and setting off to discover new corners of this exquisite property. Fun fact: the St. Regis pool area is open to renters, as long as they meet a minimum consumption requirement from their menu.
Late lunching with Gris
Lunchtime in Punta Mita is a delightful adventure, and my preference is for a late, leisurely meal prepared by the charismatic Gris. She´s known for her spectacular coconut shrimp, a Pacific Mexican coast classic. Gris works her magic for guests of Casa Todo Bien in Kupuri and Villa Ópalo in Porta Fortuna.

Ending the day with a margarita
To cap off a perfect day in Punta Mita, it´s time for margaritas! I have a soft spot for the “modern” margaritas at La Rústica, a stunning seafront gem.
Punta Mita, with its blend of natural beauty, culinary delights, and warm hospitality, has a special place in my heart.
